My passion is painting, I enjoy various types of styles including impressionist paintings, abstract paintings, mixed media paintings, in both acrylic paint and oil paint, watercolor paintings and pastel original artwork. If you collect art, or an interior designer, my paintings will bring a focal point to any room. When I start a painting, I explore the mysterious terrain between what can be measured by the physical sense and what can be perceived by emotions. Whether it’s walking on the beach, or random objects I come across, I’m always getting ideas for my paintings. When I observe the moment, the first thing that happens is it evokes a feeling or mood in me. I strive to capture that vitality and the rich diversity of the scenery while concentrating on the emotional context. I sometimes paint plein air, but when time does not permit, I use my photography when I get back to my studio in Del Mar. The creative process can clarify the relationship between art and the unconscious in a mystical way. I have evolved using an extreme color pallet including metallic colors which allow me to present an amplification of life, which expresses a new way of looking at this extraordinary world we live in. Another must in my creative process is music, it enhances my creativity to a whole new level.
